It is more of live the way an Armenian would live, but not because we need to work towards salvation at all but because it is what we are called to do. To help others, spread the gospel, and live holy lives. Not because it is a requirement to keep, but because we have been changed. He told me, he was taught to believe reformed, but preach arminian. While I admit this sounds wise, I do not believe it truly is. That we in some way were smart enough to come to the realization of our need for salvation apart from the Holy Spirits work in our lives. I believe that if we were to live our lives, as we truly are, sinners who deserves God's wrath, but instead have been given his mercy, I believe this would truly impact the lost, as they would see that I am no better than they. They would truly see that it is not about who we are, or what we do, that brings us to salvation, but rather Who and what we believe. Have been processing lately whether our own perception of Christianity is actualy the true path to heaven... Had a very religious abusive father (and his paster) and due to their lack of sharing about Gods love, it has been a difficult path for myself and my family to find our way back to God after my mother left him. Slowly but surely we pursevere, but it is tough when the Bible doesn't always give actual guidelines as to what is and what isn't considered a sin...I usually base this on my conscience, but with the type of material we are subjected to these days, I think that our moral compasses have actually been compromised without us even realising it.
